The fourth grade research unit about influential people culminated in a living “Wax Museum” at McKenzie School in East Rutherford. Under the direction of Mrs. Dey, media specialist, the students wrote reports about famous Americans. On the day of the museum, the eighty-five fourth graders dressed as their person of choice and incorporated many essential props into their live displays. Pictured are Cole Thomas who was Louis Armstrong and Camille Diaz who was Betsy Ross. All kindergartners, first, second, and third graders were invited to the museum to explore the exhibits and see replicas of these famous Americans.
